Continuing Saga Of Election News

Date January 30, 2009

So why does the buzz continue, when the elections are over, done, finished? One factor that certainly contributes to the continuing saga of election news is due to the breadth of failures of the outgoing administration. It seems there’s not a lot of good news anywhere. The economy, war, foreign policy, fuel and food costs, the credit crunch and banking debacles, rising unemployment, along with the stunning numbers of bank foreclosures – did I leave anything out? Clearly, the American public wants substantial changes in all of these crises facing the average Jane and Joe. Still, following most Presidential elections, the public usually adopts a wait and see attitude, at least until the new President is sworn in to office. This time around, even people in the international community were closely watching the U.S. election news and continue to do so.
