New dimension when you use calligraphy

Date November 13, 2008

Writing takes on an entirely new dimension when you use calligraphy. Using calligraphy is a form of art in the shape of handwriting and penmanship. A famous Chinese calligrapher referred to calligraphy as a way to add meaning to writing through forms and gestures.

The word calligraphy from Greek means kallos (beauty) and graphe (writing), the Greek definition of beautiful writing. A modern-day term for the practice of calligraphy is “the art of giving form to signs in an expressive, harmonious and skillful manner”.
