As we realize that cover letter and resume is the first gate to get jobs. At this article we will discuss what the second gate is.
Once your cover letter and resume has been shorted, you will enter the next gate, that is interview. Interview for the offshore jobs is usually simple, not as complex as when you are applying programming or science related jobs. You just need to know about some tips that will be your main key to get job offshore.
Here are my simple tips for facing job offshore interview:
• When you are sending an application to a certain company, do a research what type of company is such as main business, operation area etc so you are ready when the company is inviting you for job interview
• Take the company address, company name, contact person, phone number, email address if you get a phone invitation from the company.
• You have to be ready and prepare answers for general question such as why you are willing to join company etc.
• You have to arrive earlier 12~15 minutes, it will make you relax and give you other advantages for you.
• It is good if you bring your resume and necessary certificates with you.
• Dressing appropriately.
• Best practice to smile and greet the interviewer firmly.
• Answer truthfully and confidently to be able to sell yourself to the potential employer.
• If you need to know something, ask the interviewer politely. He usually gives you a time for asking something.
• Ask interviewer contact detail politely.
• Thank to the recruiter for the time of meeting before you are leaving.
• You need to send a thank letter once you get home.
